Part 2 of this bumper Thanet promotion (part 1 was a 'come and try it' event for the youngsters), was greeted with bright sunshine and a blustery westerly wind. Jason Wares recorded the fastest TRC time, with 24.33. Colin Robinson organised this well supported and thoroughly enjoyable event and the Thanet riders celebrated by winning the team prize.

Andy Burrows was the lone TRC rider. Andy Macpherson punctured before the start (unforunately Andy M seems to have assumed this seasons vacant role of 'Flintsmeller Pursuivant'). Andy B made the best of an early start in calm conditions, recording 1.04.40 - another PB! Winner was Phil Bull with a time of 55.48.
This year Thanet doubled their entries for this tough event, with Andy Burrows joining our regular long distance racer Colin Inett. It was a fine and dry morning but the very strong wind made things difficult in places. Nevertheless the lads had excellent rides, with Andy recording 5.01.44 and Colin 5.08.12.

Although the Isle of Grain presents a tough challenge on a windy day, the conditions suited Andy Burrows - the lone Thanet rider. Andy recorded 26:12, winning his age group.
