Dear Riders and Parents,
Firstly Happy New Year to all riders, parents and helpers, hope you had a great Christmas and managed to get in some cycling. Hope you managed to look at the website for a feature on the Christmas party, this was a great success with 22 junior riders attending and all receiving prizes for there effort and improvement with the club in 2009. A special well done to Jonah Hawkes for winning the junior of the year award for his brilliant performances last year. Just also wanted to say a thank-you to Graham O’Neill for his working with the website and Go-Ride and would recommend you visit regularly to see features and updated results from our sessions (http://www.thanetrc.org.uk/). Below is some other news I wanted to share with you.
• In the table below are the dates for sessions up until March, they will continue to run from 14:00-15:30 on Saturdays until further notice.
• When at the Marlowe we will continue to have the option of indoor sessions if the weather is bad, therefore we should not need to cancel unless we have more snow!! For 2010 the club have invested in two new indoor cycle trainers with computer control, I’m sure we are all going to have some fun with these in the weeks ahead.
• The winter mountain bike Go-Ride races at Fowlmead continue on Feb 14th 10:30am start (More information on Fowlmead’s website).
• Remind riders to dress sensibly according to the weather conditions and still to bring a drink.
• I’m hoping to organise a grass track Go-Ride racing session in April or May this year to celebrate the 1st anniversary of the Go-Ride club (More information to follow)
