Due to issues relating to the renewal of planning consent for cycling at Lydden Motor Racing Circuit, the long established and successful VC Deal training races will be held in 2010 at Fowlmead Country Park.

The first session will be on Tuesday 20th April commencing at 6.30pm. The format of the training session will be unchanged but Fowlmead will enable us to provide different circuit options i.e. the full, the lower or the top criterium circuit.

The cost of the sessions will remain unchanged at £4 non club members, £3 club and £1 for under 18's. Signing on will be in the visitor centre where it is anticipated the cafe will be open during each session.

"If you have not been to Fowlmead or tried Road/circuit Racing yet I STRONGLY recommend you use these Tuesday night sessions VC Deal promote to give it a try. The venue offers a 2 mile long road circuit with some variations if a shorter race is required. The tarmac is smooth and wide, there are no hills and the vending machines do great hot chocolate! It is perfect mid week race training on a closed circuit. We need to make sure these facilities get maximum usage, so please forget gravely hilly Lydden and come and use Fowlmead.
