Those of you attending the AGM may recall that I made a plea for an apprentice to work with me during the year with a view to taking over as TT secretary at the end of the 2010 season; this is a reminder, because you may also have noticed that over recent weeks I’ve been conspicuous mainly due to my absence (hence the delays in updating the website), and my apologies for that. Among other challenges, family commitments have been a diversion; I’m away over the next couple of weeks as well, so will miss our 10 at Fowlmead and the next club meeting (what a slacker!).

Anyway, I’ve had a good crack at insulting as many people as possible via this website over the past few years, so it will be good for our club to get a different slant on our achievements. If there are any budding journos out there who fancy having a go, let me know. The job of TT sec comes with a full job description and I'll be available to help, but apart from the website, all you'll need to do is keep a track of racing results, work out who’s won what and submit pre season police notices… doddle!
