Simon reports....

30 riders at Fowlmead last night – our biggest turnout this season to date. The event winner was Carl Chapman (GS Invicta) 22.33 – well done Carl.
All the junior riders recorded some very impressive times – well done boys and girls.
The points competition will do down to the wire again with Bob Connell taking the advantage this week and leading Pete Huckstep by 3 points (that’s 2 riders for next week’s start sheet Dave!).

Our last evening event of the year and with everything to play for at the top of the league table it was a tense start. Conditions were pretty good with a gentle breeze from the West pushing riders up the hill round the back of the circuit and the earlier rain having passed.

One of the contenders for the points title had to start late after missing their slot, seemingly not aware that we were starting at 30sec intervals and having become concerned about the welfare of Mr Quincey's puppy upon spotting several staffordshire bull terriers off the lead! Steve's dog was ridiculously cute, however, and quite right for anyone to show concern!

Well done to Connor and Ollie - superb rides earning them both PBs. Pip's 31:18 is also a new club age record!

UPDATE FROM SIMON - Peter Huckstep has retained the evening points competition this season with 104 points. Pete and Colin drew last season and shared the trophy. Well done Pete this year you get to keep it for a whole 12 months!
Runner up was Bob Connell (102) with Rick Perkins in 3rd (86).
