Congratulations to Andy Girling on winning his age group in the Athlone ETU Triathlon European Championships. Andy's result was of course underpinned by a strong performance in the bike leg - nearly a minute faster than his nearest rival. Awesome stuff - well done Andy.
Christine Burrows reports:
Slightly shorter course today due to road works at Leeds roundabout. Started near there so had to climb the hill to Marleys (an awful lot of moaning went on)

A very hard, windy day by all accounts, but this didn't stop Michael Hutchinson beating his nearest rival by 15 mins and getting close to the competition record. Over two and half hours separated the first and last results. Shay Giles was 45th with a very respectable 4.19.14.
30th June
Unfortunately visits from the cone fairy meant that our quick thinking time keeper had to lop a mile off of the course. However, Dave subsequently extrapolated TRC times back to10 miles (shown in brackets); thus we are able to calculate points for the evening competition.

Colin Robinson 1.03.43
Chris Bax 1.01.49,

Chapeau to Colin for a great event, the weather Gods were on-side this year with sunny skies and only a light SW breeze developing as the morning progressed. Mr Mastin provided this account of events:
